Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have a known case of gastritis; three years ago, I had an endoscopy, and in the report, there was mild antral inflammation for which I got treatment. Recently, I delivered a baby girl; throughout pregnancy, I was on Pantocid 40 mg as I was having gas issues from the beginning. After delivery also, I was taking Pantocid, but from five to seven days, I have left taking medicine. Now, I have mild upper left abdominal pain, and I do not have clear stools. Throughout the day, I feel like my stool is not getting clear (I have piles too). I am having feelings of fullness sometimes as I am breastfeeding; please suggest to me which medicine to take.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
It happens due to a low-fiber diet. A low-fiber diet and dehydration lead to difficulties in passing stool and can cause piles as well. So I would suggest you make changes in your diet. Eat more green vegetables and fruits like oranges, bananas, and papayas, these will make your stool softener and you will not have these symptoms. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. And drink 0.264 gallons of water in the morning.
I would suggest you take the tablet Cremalax (Sodium Picosulfate) 10 mg once before sleeping for five days; it will clear your stool.
Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them, and take the medications with their consent.
I hope this information will help you.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for your suggestions.
Can you suggest which medicine to take for mild abdominal pain and gastritis during pregnancy? I was on Pan 40, but I did not find any improvement. Can you please suggest to me which antacid is safe during breastfeeding?
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Tablet Pantoprazole 40 is safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding but if it is not helping then you can take tablet Omeprazole 20 mg once a day before breakfast.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
