Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 25 years old, and I have been dealing with migraines, but recently, I have observed some changes in myself. I become excessively irritated over trivial matters and experience quick bursts of anger. At times, I feel a sense of hopelessness, a desire to live alone, and a reluctance to engage with my boyfriend. My appetite is shifting towards exclusively craving non-vegetarian and outside foods. I also sense a disconnection between my mind and body, occasional lethargy, and a persistent desire to avoid work. Also, I am grappling with family traumas. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

We feel glad that you reached out to us.

It appears you are dealing with migraines. Migraines are intense headaches with throbbing pain, often accompanied by nausea and sensitivity to light and sound. To manage this, I suggest starting medication, such as taking tablet Propranolol (Propranolol hydrochloride) 10 mg twice daily, which can help prevent migraine attacks. Additionally, you can use Napdome (Naproxen and Domperidone) when you experience migraine episodes. Consult your doctor and take the medicines.

To prevent migraine attacks, I suggest the following:

  1. Maintain regular meals, ensuring you do not stay hungry or skip any meals throughout the day. Have breakfast, lunch, and dinner on time.

  2. Stay adequately hydrated, as dehydration can trigger migraines.

  3. Limit outdoor activities between 11 am to 4 pm, and if necessary, use protective measures such as covering your face and head.

  4. Manage stress and practice relaxation techniques.

  5. Ensure you sleep sufficiently, aiming for six to seven hours at night.

  6. Avoid overexertion and prioritize a balanced workload.

Adhering to these guidelines can contribute to migraine prevention.

I hope this helps.
