Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a scar on my lower back on the left side. Recently I was diagnosed with scabies and that scar used to itch a lot. How to treat the scar present on my lower back?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

Thank you for your query.

I do understand your concern. It appears to be a scar mark. I suggest you to follow a few instructions mentioned below

  1. Apply scarend gel (cepae fluid, heparin, and allantoin) at night for 21 days.

  2. Apply Mupirocin cream (mupirocin calcium) in the daytime for 10 days.

  3. Use Cetrimide (antibacterial) soap for bath for 2 months.

  4. Do not scratch or rub the lesion.

  5. Take a tablet of Limcee (vitamin C) 500 mg daily after breakfast for 30 days.

  6. Avoid activities that cause sweating.

  7. Maintaining proper hygiene as hygiene plays a vital role in avoiding recurrent infections.

  8. Wash clothes separately in hot water.

  9. Avoid sharing personal belongings.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
